It's 16th of September. I am out in the usually crowded market of "Lajpat Nagar" of New Delhi. There is an undertone of silence in the visibly empty market. The usual bustling has given way to an imposed calmness. There is more security in the market than usual (which is still quite inadequate by the way!).
But there is one pleasant difference there too. The market has suddenly gone bigger. The big portions of garbage, which we have been so accustomed to, are not there anymore. There are various vans of MCD looking to do a clean up job. Well, there have been numerous calls from general public to MCD in the past, to clean up the market but in vain. It took few bomb blasts to finally open their deaf ears and hopefully rusted minds too! So actually we should thank terrorists (Garbage of Society) for cleaning up less harmful garbage.
So what are we doing to tackle this disaster? After couple of days of blasts, BJP has asked for the resignation of Shivraj Patil as Home Minister and Congress is doing a press conference to tell the people that there were more blasts in NDA ruling time and no one resigned. As usual this human tragedy has also become a part of their cheap politics. I wonder if any of these "elected fews" would have lost their dear ones in these blasts, would they still have been talking this rubbish!!
But the big question remains...who will clean up this more harmful garbage of society? I am not too optimistic about the answer. After all we all have learnt to live with the garbage. So will it take another blast to open our ears. I hope not.........
Peace.

You have raised a good question that who will clean up this garbage of soceity but i must remind you that it is a joint responisibilty of all the indians dont start a blame game if you feel that something has to be done then just take initiative and start the movement because this is a chanllenge to every citizen ki "hum to tum logo ko aaise hi maare ge aap kya kar loge humara"

As you only mentioned "charity begins at home" as thought of the day think it over.

Massacres can't be avoided as all don't think or believe alike. And the best example to be quoted is 9/11 - The biggest breach of world class security systems of all times. The day Delhi got struck in the heart, people started blaming the security systems of the city. There's no security system in this world that one couldn't bypass. Trash was just another easy medium for these guyz to plant ticking deaths...and if not trash, it wouldn't have costed these jihadis more than a 5 minute religious lecture to hire a suicide bomber.
Religion...huh...it was the 11th day of the 'Ramzan' & I can't believe that these religious followers were so dumb to realise that they will break their 'Roza' on the life of 21 people...this is definitely not in the name of religion.
Govt. should keep aside their so called egoistic attitudes & speak to these god for saken people & discuss things out. Coz if u're not talking to them, these guyz can't sit quite for long & will again raise their suppressed voices as loud as possible & the entire nation will hear it. Shiv Raj Patil or any other puppet does not hold the capabilities to locate planted bombs, but his talks to these orgs. can certainly stop these ticking bombs to get installed in the first place.
And as far as the cleaniness of the city & scattered garbage dumps are concerned...just conduct commonwealth games each year in every city & I'm sure India will become a far more developed & better place to live in!
Sid!
good thought and well written:))
